To solve the problem of household waste, which has become quite high-profile in Lviv, in 2018 the local government decided to build a waste recycling plant, using the best practices of European countries, and announced a tender. The implementation of this environmental project required a responsible approach to work, reliable and balanced decisions during the design. It was another challenge for our company. We took part in the tender, won it and successfully implemented the task set by the customer.

The complex is quite complex in engineering terms. It was important to develop a project of the plant, which will recycle 250 thousand tons of waste per year. It should fully satisfy the needs of the inhabitants of the entire city. Thanks to the joint efforts of our specialists and European technologists it was possible to implement the process of waste sorting with further drying and separation into secondary raw materials, RDF-fuel and waste to be buried.

Different methods will be applied to garbage sorting, that is why the complex is divided into special functional zones. In some of them there will be the reception of raw materials, its mechanical sorting with subsequent crushing and purification from metal impurities. A separate zone will be equipped with a waste supply to biological tunnels for drying. Innovative technology is also used in the sorting zone, the mechanical processing of dried waste with its separation into fractions. Glass, polyethylene, paper and metal will no longer contaminate the environment and will not lie in landfills, but will have a chance to be reused or recycled.

The customer’s desire to build a plant that would not only perform its practical functions, but would also be in a sense a platform for eco-education in Ukraine, turned into an interesting new task for the company. Our specialists were able to demonstrate the versatility of solutions and design not only the technical part of the object, but also a comfortable and safe pedestrian area for excursions, a spacious conference room for exhibitions and thematic forums.

The efficiency and effectiveness of the decisions made and the implementation of innovative technologies have contributed to the quality of the work process. Now the preparatory work for the construction of the complex is in progress. And we, in our turn, share with you the 3D visualization of the future object. This is how it will look like. Soon.
